The site contains 63 tombs carved into the mountain rock, the most famous being that of the young king Tutankhamun. Venture inside a royal tomb and examine the colourful scenes on the walls, providing insights into the beliefs and funerary rites of the Ancient Egyptians.
next, we’ll continue to the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. As you arrive, the impressive cliff will captivate your gaze, but it is at the foot of this natural masterpiece that the real wonder lies – Hatshepsut temple. The external architecture blends seamlessly with the refined cliff, giving the impression that the building was sculpted into the rock.
Lastly, you’ll stop by the Colossi of Memnon that stands proudly. These massive statues gaze out toward the Nile, serving as guardians of Amenhotep’s memorial temple.
